four weeks

Four weeks ago. "It" happened four weeks ago. My life continues to be measured by how far I've come since that day. As I start my third day of work and begin to feel our morning routine taking shape... I'm finding my new normal. I like it.

I slept well last night but woke up really early. The three legged cat eagerly awaits the time for me to get out of bed because he likes to inhabit the warm spot I leave behind.

I got an email from the boys' dad letting me know that he is sending child support today. That's good news! I'm still praying for money to catch up my bills from my time while I was "out of touch". We'll get there.

My priority right now is to get my tag renewed... before I get pulled over and/or towed.... so my mother can stop stressing about it. I will do that tomorrow morning. I also have to pay my car insurance this weekend to prevent it from cancelling on Monday. Putting out fires...

Today we get to wear jeans to work. I'm all about that! I even have a pair that semi-fit still. I'll get back in shape... I'm feeling better... and there are so many awesome places to walk.

One of the ladies I work with participates in a ministry that helps locate furniture for people in need. *laugh* I didn't hesitate to let her know that we are sleeping on air mattresses on the floor. She said she would see what she could come up with. We're not suffering. It's really not that bad... but I wouldn't mind having a bed!

Ok... must wake up Austin and shoo him out the door. Have a great Friday!

With each passing day, you'll settle into your new life, and appreciate it even more.

Praying for a comfy place to lay your heads each night...air mattress is okay when you are camping but I think you need more.

Since the short time I've been coming here, one thing I've noticed and appreciated about you is your positive outlook on life. Just the small detail of noting that you get to wear jeans to work (yay!) shows that you continually look for the positives, and that's refreshing to me, one who generally sees a glass half-empty, even in good times.

Each day will become a little easier ... just don't stress over things that you cannot change.

Great to hear that you're settling into a routine. That should help everything get back to normal...but so would a bed! Hope you can get one soon!

We slept on air mattresses for about 4 weeks when we arrived back in the states from Germany (lag time for furniture delivery). I hope your co-worker can help you out because it gets old after awhile. :)
