back to work...

I'm spending the last precious few moments in my nest before starting the glam routine and subsequently the work week. It's going to be a rainy week so this will probably be my only straight hair day all week. I am feeling better this morning, not nearly so stuffy and no pain behind my eyes like I had yesterday (and all last week, actually). Austin had a sinus headache last night too... had to keep the lights turned off.

His friend spent almost the whole weekend with us here. I was surprised when we were driving to church yesterday that he knew all the praise songs on the Christian radio station and sang along. Ok... maybe my judgement was premature... someone has had this kid in church at some point. He was attentive in church. Brought his own bible. The bible was in a nice bible holder complete with pen and study materials. Obviously, he has been in church. And after church he had lunch with us... pigs in blankets and leftover chili. He was appreciative. I let him stay and play Wii with Austin until around 4pm but then it was time for Austin to finish his homework and for me to have some quiet. He's a good kid but he's loud and Austin's loud around him.

We have temperatures below freezing this morning! I've kept the thermostat at 68 degrees and it's on this morning! Anything much higher than 68 and I can't breathe... I hate dry heat on my face. My bed is positioned where the heat vent is directly above the head of my bed. There's really no other good way to arrange the room.

Last night I splurged and upgraded our DISH network. We had the top 100 channels and I upgraded to the top 200 channels... this gave me WE, Oxygen, TCM, AMC and Fox News (among others) and gave Austin FX and the gamer channel. The difference in price is $12 a month. I justified the extravagance by the fact that we eat out FAR less here than we have any place else we've lived... we never go to the movies... really, our time out of the house is mostly spent at work, school and church. Austin was thrilled... and I treated myself to three drama filled hours of Bridezilla.

Monday morning means staff meeting at 8am... better post and glam and get my butt in gear. Love and hugs, y'all!

The girls and I like to watch Bridezilla. Kendra says when she gets married, I can be her wedding planner and be the "bridezilla" so she doesn't have to be. LOL.. she says she knows I will make it just the way she wants it. Wow, am I easy to manipulate, or what? Have a great week.

Happy Monday! Kids like boundaries, they may not show it, but being at your house maybe gives him some rules that he has to be on good behavior. We used to have kids over all the time when the kids were younger, and we were boring! But every single weekend, we had at least 1-2 kids sleeping over!
