That took way longer than I thought it would... anyone still reading?
Yesterday was our day trip to the Southside of Atlanta... first I went to Weight Watchers for weigh in - I lost .8 pounds. I was excited about that number because I thought I was going to be plateau'ed... then we went to the bakery, gassed up, stopped by Ingles to buy fingertip bandaids for my sliced open finger, went by the farm to pick up some goodies ... and then made the trip down south.
My mom has been in the hospital for 12 days now and it just seems like it's never going to end. I know she and my dad are both sick of being there... but she's still not able to eat solid food and is still in a lot of pain. I wish we were closer so we could visit more often but honestly... she doesn't seem to feel like visiting and I hate being at the hospital. It makes me feel claustrophobic.
We hung out at the hospital awhile and then went grocery shopping with Cody and Marquee to buy stuff for dinner... then back to their house to cook. We grilled chicken, made jasmine rice (which is really high in points but it was soooo good!) roasted asparagus, cooked zucchini and yellow squash, had a salad... it was very weight watchers friendly and really, really good.
After dinner we went back to the hospital for a quick visit and then Austin and I headed back home. My goal was to get through Atlanta before dark. If you've never driven in Atlanta... there are two interstate highways that converge running from North to South in the middle of Atlanta and driving through town is not for the faint of heart. You really have to know what lane to be in and you have to be prepared to avoid people who DON'T know what lane to be in... and although I now have glasses and can see better at night... I don't like driving thru town after dark. We made it, just barely, thru town by dusk.
Today I have a ton of housework I need to do and I'm so drained that I don't want to do anything. I made the mistake of making a homemade pizza... just pizza dough, olive oil, roasted garlic and sea salt - thinking that Austin would enjoy it. He didn't and I've eaten half of it. I can't even begin to figure the points in it so I'm going to consider it my weekly flex points and for the first time ever on Weight Watchers, I'm not going to count something I've eaten. There's no way... and to repent for my carb indulgence, I'm going to be sure to exercise every day this week.
And then next Saturday when I'm whining and complaining about having gained weight, you can all remind me of my CarbFest.
So that's what's happening here in Hooterville today.
You want to share any of your thoughts regarding my top ten top tens? Leave me a comment...
Happy Sunday... love and hugs.

Loved the top ten lists. Made me want to do it...but I won't! lol I am sorry that your mother is in the hospital and I hope she gets better soon. I've always gotten lost in Atlanta - well, mainly to bad directions - but more than once have found myself driving around trying to find some hotel that my work has me staying in. Our home office is no longer there - it's in Texas. And it's much easier to figure out where I'm going. I think I just don't do well in "down town" areas. Have a good rest of the Sunday. I have a 10/10/10 wedding to go to this evening (and I'm dog tired but going anyway).
