photo finish friday

my reality check... i still think i look ok for 42...

doesn't this look horribly indulgent? it's only 3-4 points worth... angel food cake, unsweetened strawberries, cool whip free... and I have had this treat 3 times this week.

another huge indulgence... starbucks full fat pumpkin spice latte. it was 7 points. my weight has not moved at all this week and i'm going to be incredibly bummed if i don't lose this week or even worse... *gulp*... a gain... and although the angel food cake indulgence is not a huge point food, it's got a lot of sugar and sugar is the devil for me. if i avoid sugar, i lose weight. if i eat sugar... i don't. plain and simple.

obviously i'm not going to quit my day job and become a food photographer, at least not with the camera i have... the lighting doesn't do justice to the beautiful colors in this dish... but this was a really awesome dinner that i wanted to show you... collard greens sauteed with ginger and garlic wtih rings of this beautiful yellow banana pepper... tilapia broiled with lemon pepper... and my homemade coleslaw packed with carrots and radishes and only a tiny drop of mayo.
try to ignore the stains on the carpet. i need to have my carpets cleaned something fierce. i've mentioned that we walk Bitty on a leash. He loves going outside. I brought him in and before I had time to take off his leash, Stubby caught him.I love the look on Bitty's face.
It's been quite a week. I'm always glad to see Friday come back around but I'm even gladder today. I'm going to try to get my cooking for the week done tonight so I can dish up a few meals for my dad and take it down to him when we head south tomorrow.... yep... we're heading to the A-T-L... and although I hate to ever leave the mountains, I really hate to leave the mountains when it's fall and the weather is perfect. I'm going to do my weigh in... make my run to the bakery and the farm... and then head south. Mama is still in the hospital. She's better... but she's still in there. And yes, Mary, she's at Southern Regional.
Hope you have a fantastic Friday! Love and hugs!

I am sorry but you look so unhappy in that picture. You are beautiful when you smile.

I agree! Smiling would make you look a lot younger :)

I just think you look like you just worked a long week and are tired! I look like that everyday at 47... some days people say to me..."are you sick?"..nope, just getting old and tired!
have a happy weekend! :)

Have to say, though, your face is so slim!!

Still praying for your mom's speedy recovery.
